Program Expectations

The goal of the Emerging Leaders Program is to identify and support up and coming leaders within the Ankeny community by providing an experience that offers personal self-growth, increased professional connections, leadership development and creative collaboration opportunities in order to impact the Ankeny community.

As a result of participating in the Emerging Leaders program, participants will:

  1. Acquire important leadership insights that pertain to their own personal leadership strengths as well as best practices in leading others.
  2. Gain a broader understanding of the City of Ankeny, its history, community, and current challenges.
  3. Engage in opportunities to work collaboratively with fellow participants and community leaders to address challenges facing our community and present potential solutions.
